FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Locates Missing Woman

Morgan County, Ohio – September 5, 2026

Just before 7:00 a.m. on September 4, 2026, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an employee of Hann Manufacturing, located on State Route 60 North. The caller reported that while outside the rear of the building checking on equipment, he could hear a female calling for help from the wooded area directly behind the building.

The Morgan County Sheriff and deputies were immediately dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, we were able to locate and positively identify the female as Miss Cambrea Rayburn.

Miss Rayburn was located in the wooded / creek area directly behind Hann Manufacturing. The Morgan County Sheriff, Sheriff’s deputies, and members of the M&M Squad worked together to safely extract Miss Rayburn. She was then transported to Genesis Healthcare for medical evaluations and treatment. Miss Rayburn’s family was immediately notified of the safe recovery and of her current situation.

Investigators were dispatched to the hospital for an interview with Miss Rayburn once she was cleared by the Attending Physician.

Miss Rayburn left her residence on August 5, 2026. Deputies last spoke with Miss Rayburn on August 17, 2026. Information obtained from Miss Rayburn during her extraction verified that she had intentionally fled her residence and was residing alone in the woods in an attempt to prevent relocation with her family.

As of 10:00 a.m. on September 5, 2026, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has been advised that Miss Rayburn remains under the care of Genesis Healthcare.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the employees of Hann Manufacturing for the immediate notification, as well as the deputies, M&M EMS and Fire personnel who assisted in locating and safely extracting Miss Rayburn from the wooded area.

This is an ongoing investigation.
