Henry County Dog Shelter

Henry County Dog Shelter County shelter deals with stray dogs and after their hold period if they are not reclaimed by an owner they are put up for adoption.

The Henry County dog shelter operates under the Henry County Sheriffs Dept. and is run by the dog warden department. Stray dogs are picked up and if not reclaimed by an owner after a mandated hold period of 3 days they are taken care of until they are adopted to the public or transferred to a 501c3 rescue. All dogs are vaccinated, wormed and given bordatella. our adoption fee is $75 and also includes a current license.

Looking for a friend to take on a nice walk on a crisp morning and then hang out on the porch with? Well here is the perfect one! He is a lab mix who is an older gentleman probably about 7. He came to us as a stray so we have no information on his past. He loves to be by people and hang out and get all the attention. Being a little older he is set in his ways and doesn’t like too much commotion. He is laid back but still has the s***k to go for walks and play outside for a while. Looking for a friend to curl up on the couch with? Well here is the perfect one! He is a pit mix who is about 2 years old. He came to us as a stray so we have no information on his past. He loves to chill out on his bed and roll around in the grass. He’d stay outside all day and watch the cars go by if we let him. He is a laid back relaxed kind of guy.
