The Awendaw-McClellanville Fire Department has once again been recognized by the South Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal, earning the Fire Safe South Carolina designation for the fifth consecutive year.

The award recognizes the department’s ongoing commitment to community risk reduction, fire prevention education, data-driven safety initiatives, and efforts to reduce fire-related injuries and property loss throughout the community.

⭐️ Show Your Spirit! Best Decorated Home & Business
Calling all patriots. McClellanville wants to see your boldest red, white, and blue. Enter your home or business in the 4th of July Decorating Competition and help light up the village for Independence Day.

If you don’t live on one of the main streets in town, please call Town Hall before June 26 to let us know you’d like to be included in the judging route.

Judges will be out June 26–27, and winners for Best Decorated Home and Best Decorated Business will be announced at the Town Picnic on July 4th.

There will also be a Tablescape Contest at the picnic this year, and the most creative table will take home a special prize.

Let’s make this year sparkle from one end of town to the other.
