Our Story
The FRRCD provides a number of important services to local landowners. Conservation of soil and water on rangeland, pastureland, irrigated cropland, and the water quality of Fall River, Pit River, Hat Creek, Burney Creek and all the watersheds in the district are the focus of the RCD. The residents in the district have benefited from a number of educational workshops on a variety of topics from fuel reduction, to noxious w**d control.
The Shasta County Board of Supervisors appoints RCD Directors who serve voluntarily. The Fall River RCD has seven local directors who assume leadership positions within the district by providing direction in their communities natural resource programs.
