Of course, don't forget that the largest fireworks show in McAlester history will light up the sky at the Southeast Expo Center & Motor Speedway on July 4th as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday! 🎇🎉

Check out the Senior Center meal schedule for this week! Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. at the J.I. Stipe Center and the suggested donation is $2 per meal. Anyone at least 60 years old is eligible to register, or to be registered by a loved one, by calling 918-715-3442. The Senior Center also offers tons of activities each week/month, like bingo, dominoes, bunco, a monthly jamboree, various card games, board games, low-impact senior fitness, guest speakers and more.

Well, it looks like Mother Nature had a different plan for us this week!

Due to the significant rainfall we've received, we have made the decision to postpone Movies in the Park to Saturday, June 27, 2026.

While we know this may be disappointing, our priority is making sure everyone has a fun, comfortable, and enjoyable movie-going experience.

The good news? Hoppers is still coming to Arvest Park! 🍿 Mark your calendars and plan to join us on June 27th for an evening under the stars. We are also working on contingency plans for future movie nights so that the weather has less of an impact on our upcoming events.

A special thank you to the community partners who stepped up today and worked with us to explore options for moving the event indoors. Your willingness to help and your commitment to our community is truly appreciated, and we are grateful for your support.

Thank you for your understanding and continued encouragement. We can't wait to see everyone on June 27th for Movies in the Park 2: The Comeback!
