Proviso East proudly celebrated the achievements of our ROTC cadets at the 2026 Cadet Awards Ceremony. From Honor and Distinguished Cadets to recipients of prestigious national awards, our students continue to demonstrate leadership, discipline, and excellence.

We also recognize our Leadership Academy nominees who will continue their journey this summer. Your commitment to growth and service represents the very best of our school community.

Proviso East welcomed incoming freshmen from Washington Dual Language Academy for Shadow Day, giving students a firsthand look at high school life. From engaging classroom experiences to connecting with staff and their Future Freshman support team, the day was all about building confidence and excitement for the journey ahead.

We are proud to continue this growing tradition and look forward to welcoming our future Pirates into the Proviso East community.

Proviso East Celebrates Mr. Jesse Hayes 🎉

Wishing a heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Jesse Hayes on his well deserved retirement!

Mr. Hayes has been the kind of person every school hopes to have and never quite knows how to replace, and his impact at Proviso East will never be forgotten. His professionalism, steady presence, and genuine kindness have made a lasting difference in the Proviso East community. Whether it was a warm smile, a few words of encouragement, or one of his signature hugs, he always found a way to brighten someone’s day.

He didn’t just help maintain the building. He helped take care of the people inside it. Mr. Hayes, your work at Proviso East has left an imprint far beyond the walls. You will be deeply missed, but we are so excited for you as you step into this next chapter.
