At the meeting of the July 4th Parade Committee held on May 6, 2026 the Committee selected Vincent “Vinnie” Lyzell as the Grand Marshall for the 2026 July 4th Parade.
Mr. Lyzell is a 3rd generation life-long resident of Maywood and has served in the following capacities:
1)Member, Maywood American Legion Post #142 for over 30 years serving 4 times as Commander and 5 times as Senior Vice Commander
2) U.S. Army Reserves for 31 years
3) Baseball, Softball & Soccer Coach
4) Board Member of the MYAA (Maywood Youth & Athletic Association
5) Assistant Cub Scout Den Leader
Congratulations to Mr. Lyzell as the Grand Marshall of the 2026 July 4th Parade.
