Earlier this week, Mayville State University students participated in the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference in Fargo, N.D.

The annual state conference provides an opportunity for students to compete in business related events against 10 other North Dakota colleges and universities. As a new organization on campus, Mayville State University’s Collegiate DECA chapter made a strong impact at this year’s conference, qualifying several students for the International Competition in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 21st - 24th.

Competitions, students and places are as follows:

Mitch Lacher - 1st Place
AJ Sanchez - National Qualifier

• Corporate Finance
Todd Olson – 1st Place
Eric Domier – 2nd Place

• Fashion Merchandising & Marketing
Nichole Schwanke – 1st Place

In addition to a great showing in the competitive events, Mayville State University was also fortunate to have Eric Domier elected State Vice-President to serve in the 2012-2013 school year.
