Grant Larson, center, is honored at the June 12, Ted & Grace Bachhuber Memorial Library Board meeting in Mayville with a plaque of appreciation with his family present. He is retiring this month after serving on the Board since 1995. Larson has served the past 10 years as library board president during which time the new library facility was built. He is flanked on the left by his family and on the right by members of the library's board.

The Mayville Police Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of part-time Administrative Assistant.

Position Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent typing, proofreading, and transcription skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience with cash handling, data entry, and general office equipment
• Ability to answer telephones professionally
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Additional Requirements:
• Successful completion of a background check, typing test, and drug screening is required

Schedule & Compensation:
• Flexible schedule of 20–30 hours per week
• Hourly wage: $17.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications
