Town of Maysville

Town of Maysville Settled on the banks of the White Oak River, Maysville North Carolina lies in the heart of a vibrant region. We are Maysville. & We are Naturally Welcoming

While nearby communities have experienced tremendous growth spurred by military bases and coastal development, Maysville has retained its small town lifestyle and rural surroundings. Our town was originally known as Young’s Crossroads, and today we welcome commuters and visitors who still travel the Coastal Highway through our town. We are a proud community, and are honored to be the home of many

who are serving our Country and protect us from harm. Those stationed at nearby Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point could live anywhere within the region, but choose Maysville because of its charm and laid back quality of life. We welcome young military families and retirees who live in our new homes, frequent our local businesses, and go to our local churches. They have established roots here, and have quickly become a part of our Maysville family. We are excited about being the hub for the outdoor lifestyle. While our setting is rural and surrounded by farm land, we also have the Croatan National Forest, Hoffman State Forest, the White Oak River and Rock Hole Quarry Lake. These resources provide a wealth of outdoor activity, from fishing and hunting, hiking and biking, to kayaking and canoeing recreational opportunities also abound, with our hometown Frost Park serving as a center of activity for our children and families. Nearby Onslow Classic Soccer complex brings in athletes from all over the state, and our local campgrounds provide campers an opportunity to connect with nature. We look forward to sharing our natural assets with people who enjoy outdoor adventure. Our greatest assets however are the people who live in our community. We have a spirit of unity, and our residents truly make up the Maysville family. We care for each other and protect each other, and welcome newcomers with the same hospitality as we do long time residents. The spirit of our community has seen a renewed energy in revitalization, and we are committed to enhancing our quality of life and celebrating the place we call home. We are Maysville…. and We are Naturally Welcoming.

Today marks a special moment for our community here in Jones County ❤️

For years, Maysville has been proud to serve as the only town in the county with a public playground—a place filled with laughter, memories, and childhood joy. And today, we celebrate something even bigger… growth.

With our Commissioners, Mayor, and Town Manager all in attendance, we witnessed the opening of a new playground—another safe space where kids can run free, dream big, and simply be kids.

This isn’t about losing something—it’s about gaining more for our children. More opportunities. More smiles. More moments that matter.

This park is located right across from Jones Senior High School

Because at the end of the day, it’s always been about the kids. And today, Jones County took another step forward for them 💙
