As we welcome the month of June, our community is preparing with excitement and energy that always accompanies the end of the school year and the beginning of summer.

On behalf of the entire Police Department, I want to extend my congratulations to the Class of 2026! Whether you are graduating from middle school, high school, college or moving up to your next school, this is a tremendous milestone. You have persevered through years of hard work and dedication, and the whole community is incredibly proud of your achievements.

As you celebrate these milestones with family, friends, and neighbors, we want to remind everyone to do so safely and responsibly. With more drivers on the roads and school buses making their final rounds, please remember to stay alert and drive carefully and also make smart, responsible choices during graduation parties and celebrations.

Let's all work together to make good decisions to ensure this joyous season remains safe and fun for everyone. We wish all our students, teachers, and families a relaxing, fun, and safe summer break.

Today, June 5th, 2026, officers from the Township of Hamilton Police Department proudly participated in the 2026 New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run!

This year, thousands of officers from across the state took to the streets, running 26 separate routes and carrying the “Flame of Hope” nearly 750 miles to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey.

Our officers, joined by members of surrounding police departments, ran approximately four miles down Route 30 through Egg Harbor City and Mullica Township before passing the torch on to the next agency. It was a fantastic event for an incredible cause, and we were honored to take part once again.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, support, or participate—you help keep this tradition strong!
