Union County Senior Citizens Center & Office on Aging Union County Senior Citizens Center welcomes all who are 60+ and serves as the focal point for senior services in Union County. There is no fee to join.

The Senior Center is open Monday - Friday 8:00-4:00. Chair Yoga or other exercise is on Tuesday at 10:30
Line dance lessons each Wednesday 9:30-11:00 with Janie
Bingo is Tuesday, Thursday & Friday at 11:00
Sign ups for trips and classes are posted and done here at the senior center only. Regular senior center participants are given first priority to sign up. We will always post them here to our p

age and reach out if we have more tickets or spaces available. Please call each day by 10:00 for lunch 865-992-3292. Lunch is served Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. The Office on Aging is open Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00 by appointment and is located in the senior center.

Our Story

The Union County Senior Citizens Center/Office on Aging was designed to provide and serve as the focal point for all aging support services in Union County. We are open Monday - Friday 8:00-4:00 with most activities scheduled between 9:00 & 1:00. We are an Ethra nutrition site and lunch is served Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday at 11:00. There is no fee to join the Senior Center but there is a Participant Registration form that must be filled out. Activities include, but not limited to, Bingo, cards, Bible study group, line dance, music, potlucks, parties & day trips. We host speakers on various topics such as Medicare, Chronic Illness & Legal Aid.

We have potluck meetings organized by volunteers each month in Luttrell, Plainview & Sharps Chapel. Luttrell seniors meet on the 3rd Monday 10:00-12:30 at the Luttrell Community Building/Library. Plainview seniors meet on the 1st Monday at the Plainview Community Building 10:00-12:30. Sharps Chapel seniors meet at the Sharps Chapel Community Center on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday 10:00-12:30. All Union County Senior Citizens are welcome at all Union County Senior lunches and activities.

The Senior Center currently has an exercise room with four treadmills and a weight machine, but we are in the process of acquiring stationary bikes, recumbent bikes & elliptical machine.

Our computer room offers 4 computers & a printer.
