Happy Retirement & Happy Birthday, Don!

Town of Maynard, Massachusetts join Maynard PD in wishing Don a very happy birthday and, at the same time, celebrating his retirement from crossing guard duties!

After years of hard work, dedication, and service to the community, and through any weather nature could throw our way, Don has certainly earned the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved time off and start this exciting new chapter.

Don, thank you for everything you have done and for the positive impact you’ve had on those around you. We hope your retirement is filled with plenty of relaxation and new adventures.

Happy Birthday and congratulations on your retirement, Don! We wish you all the best in the years ahead!

Please see the 9/4/2026 WATER EMERGENCY BAN UPDATE shared on behalf of the Maynard DPW:

The pipe repair was completed last night, and water has been restored to all customers affected by the break. You may continue to notice some discoloration throughout the weekend. If so, please let us know by filling out our online form: https://www.townofmaynard-ma.gov/550/Discolored-Water-Report-Form

We want to say thank you to everyone who has practiced conservation measures over the past 24 hours. Because of you, our storage levels are bouncing back faster than expected. Thanks to our amazing staff as well, we're on track to lift the conservation measures on Tuesday.

Every bit of water you saved has made a difference to keep the tap running for your neighbors too. We're in this together, and we'll keep you updated as the situation changes.

Please note, all questions regarding this matter should continue to be answered through the DPW office by calling 978-897-1317 or by email at [email protected].

We’re getting ready to stuff a police cruiser with as many donations as possible, and we need your help!

Join the Maynard Police Department and Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley at Market Basket on Digital Way for our upcoming Stuff-a-Cruiser event! We’ll be collecting donations to help support local families and make this season a little brighter.

Bring a donation, say hello to our officers, check out the cruiser, and help us see just how much we can STUFF into it! Let’s show what the Town of Maynard, Massachusetts can do when we come together!

Not everyone has a backflow device and they are most commonly on irrigation systems at a residence. Please see our website for more information about the devices and why we test: https://www.townofmaynard-ma.gov/638/Cross-Connection-Control-Backflow-Preven
