⚡ Power in Partnership Kicks Off a New School Year

GCED and the Mayfield-Graves Area Technology Center kicked off the third year of Power in Partnership with a visit from Mayfield Electric & Water Systems linemen Geoffrey Beck and Rex Coleman.

Students in the ATC’s upper-level electricity class heard firsthand about careers in the electrical trades, the importance of safety and problem-solving, and the training and skills needed to turn their classroom experience into a rewarding career.

GCED is excited to welcome Freeman Automation, LLC as the newest tenant of the Hickory Industrial Park!

The company is purchasing five acres to construct a new facility for its growing operation, with plans to add 10 new positions and bring its total workforce to 20 jobs over the life of the project.
