We look forward to honoring our community heroes this evening. 🇺🇸

In an effort to recognize all heroes in attendance, we would like to invite everyone being honored onto the field to line up alongside the team for the National Anthem.

Please begin gathering near the main gate to the field by 6:45PM. The National Anthem is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:55PM.

The School District of Mauston is always looking for great people to join our substitute team! Subbing is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of students while enjoying the flexibility to choose the days that work for you.

Maybe you’re retired, looking for a flexible schedule, wanting to get involved in our schools, or simply interested in trying something new- we’d love to welcome you! You don’t have to have a teaching background to get started, and this upcoming Substitute Teacher Training is a great first step for those who need to obtain a Wisconsin Short-Term Substitute Teacher License.

💙💛 Please help us welcome Leanna Hagen-Kovach back to the School District of Mauston!

Leanna joins Olson Middle School as a Library Aide- and this homecoming is especially meaningful. A proud Mauston High School Class of 2000 alumna, Leanna has deep roots in our community. Her husband graduated from MHS in 1997, and their oldest child graduated from MHS this year and is now attending UW-Milwaukee!

Leanna has spent the past 15 years working in a helping profession and finds great fulfillment in supporting others and making a positive difference in their lives. In her free time, she enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, helping others, tackling DIY projects, spending time outdoors, and watching sports. If given a free plane ticket, she would happily head to Disney, Europe, Hawaii, or Alaska! ✈️

Leanna is excited to return to the district where her own educational journey began, give back to her community, and help students succeed.

Welcome home, Leanna! We’re so glad you’re here! 💙💛

💙💛 Please help us welcome Hannah Case to the School District of Mauston!

Hannah joins the team at Grayside Elementary as a Special Education Aide. She describes herself as easygoing and loves connecting with others, helping people feel welcome, and creating a positive environment.

Hannah is a mom of two, a bonus mom of four, a dog mom to Ruby, and a bird mom to more than 40 chickens, ducks, geese, and guineas! Outside of school, she loves spending time outdoors with her family and all their animals. If she were given a free plane ticket today, she would head to Amsterdam! ✈️

Hannah is looking forward to a new beginning for herself and her children- and becoming part of the unity and community of the Mauston School District family.

The School District of Mauston is hiring full-time Special Education Teacher Assistants for the 2026–2027 school year. We have openings at Grayside Elementary, Olson Middle School, West Side Elementary, and Mauston High School.

💙💛 Please help us welcome Riley Sublette to the School District of Mauston!

Riley joins our Montessori team as a Montessori Aide. She has been working in Montessori education since her junior year of high school and has always loved working with children. Riley is currently taking a gap year and is excited to continue learning and gaining experience in a Montessori environment.

Outside of school, Riley enjoys reading, playing the piano, and all things musical and artistic. She says she couldn’t live without her friends and family—and if given a free plane ticket, she would head straight to the Outer Banks, North Carolina! ✈️

Riley is especially looking forward to working with the Montessori team and building connections with our students.

Don't forget! 🏈🇺🇸

Mauston High School is proud and excited to host Community Heroes Night this week on Friday, September 11th, during our home varsity football game against Wautoma.

This special evening will provide the Mauston and Wautoma communities with an opportunity to honor the memory of those affected by the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, while recognizing and thanking our military members, veterans, police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel for their service and sacrifice.

As part of the evening, all current and former members of the armed forces, along with police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel from both the Mauston and Wautoma communities, will receive free admission.

We would be honored to have members of your organization join us as we recognize the community heroes who have served and continue to serve both communities.

Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and continued commitment to your community. We look forward to recognizing you on September 11th.
