The Juneau County Forest encompasses over 18,000 acres of public land. Last week our department planted 269,000 in the Town of Armenia and 13,000 in the Town of Cutler with the help from Superior Forestry Services Inc. These trees were planted in 3 ½ days.

Please take the Community Input Survey to provide feedback on parks and trails maintained by Juneau County. The survey takes about 10 minutes and is available through March 15, 2026.

Thinking about going snowmobiling in Juneau County? Check to see if the trails are open before you ride. With six different snowmobile clubs in Juneau County it is very important to have the correct information. Call the Juneau County Snowmobile Trail Hotline at 608.562.5737 or go to https://www.travelwisconsin.com/snowreport/snowmobile. The hotline and Travel Wisconsin are the official ways to know the status of the trails. Juneau County has over 280 miles of snowmobile trails. With the majority of these miles on private lands. Please stay on marked trails when we have them open.
