Gum Swamp Rd SHUT DOWN ➡️ FROM LP FD #7: The fire has flared up and grown in size on Gum swamp Rd. Dist 7 Fire + Forestery are working on getting it under control. ➡️

Livingston District 9 Fire Department wants to thank Parish President Randy Delatte and our Parish Government for obtaining much needed lifesaving equipment for the Fire Departments in Livingston Parish.

Our department received 2 Lucas CPR devices along with 3 AEDs and 3 suctions. This equipment will aid our department in improving medical care in our community.

As a Fire Chief I am thankful to Mr Randy for looking out for us.

Last night Maurepas and French Settlement Fire departments came together to train on Acadian Airmed landing zone operations. 28 VOLUNTEERS came out to work towards making each medical emergency a little bit safer.

This Fire Chief can not begin to describe how blessed our communities are for these men and women.

There are many ways to volunteer in our communities, not just by responding to emergencies. Find YOUR passion and give back to your community. If everyone gives a small amount of time we can accomplish anything.
