Mississippi's vaccination phases balance the protection of those most at risk from COVID-19 with those who maintain essential functions of the community. We are currently in Phase 1a, vaccinating healthcare workers and long-term care residents and staff. Healthcare workers include a broad range of physicians, nurses, and clinical and facility staff in any setting where COVID-19 exposure is a risk. Big sale at Mathiston Library Saturday Oct. 6 from 8am-12noon. Great deals. Got books. Baked goods! Miscellaneous items paintings by local artist.

We sure would like to see more people coming to the Friends of Library meetings and help make the library a better place to visit. We recently received a large number of new books for children from first readers to teens and are expecting more to come in soon. Come check on the new reads. The fourth Thursday of every month we have Children's Korner. It is for preschoolers. We read a story, do a craft, and have a snack. Come join us.

We are considering starting a children's hour at Mathiston Library. If you would be interested in bringing pre-school children to the library for storytelling, crafts and more, send me a post or text. If enough interest is shown we will begin in January.

Books are for sale at library every day that library is open. Come by and get some good readers!!! Library hours are Tue-Fri 1:30-5pm.
