Pike Co. Training Center is hosting a basic Skywarn Spotter class with US National Weather Service Binghamton NY

Skywarn is a volunteer program with between 350,000 and 400,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.

2-24-25 Eagle Eye Drone Imagery will be flying a drone for PCLP for the next few weeks. The drone is inspecting the pole tops, cross arms, checking for hot spots, failing equipment and tree issues. Please do not approach the drone operator, the FAA encourages them not to engage with the public while flying. The drone will be in the air today on Roberts Lane headed toward Milford, focusing on the river side of the Highway. The vehicle will be a red Ford pickup shown in the photo. Fly time will be 9AM to 5PM

With the school districts around the county starting this week and next, our office wanted to remind everyone that when a school bus is stopped with its lights on and its stop sign out, you MUST stop.
It is also NEVER acceptable to pass a school bus from behind when it is stopped in the road.
