Westfall Boat 1 and Port Jervis Boat headed back upriver after a good intent call on the evening of 8/21.

Although there was no emergency, let this still be a reminder to wear a life jacket while partaking in water activities as they are proven to save lives.

Don’t let shallow or slow water fool you as they can still pose a significant risk at a moments notice!

We regret to share the passing of Roger Ramsey, Past Chief from 1971-1972.

His dedication, courage, and commitment to protecting and serving the Westfall community will never be forgotten and he leaves behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and selfless service here at Station 39.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ramsey family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time.

Tonight for drill the department headed to the Delaware Valley School District High School campus to perform a walk through prior to the start of the school year.

Pre-planning the campus itself as well as response strategies are a crucial aspect to a smooth emergency operation should one arise.

We were happy to have mutual aid partners with us tonight and give them the opportunity to see aspects they might not otherwise see on an emergency.

Thank you to DVSD Police Chief Moglia for coordinating this every year and allowing us the opportunity.

From all of us, we wish students and staff a great first day back next week!

Whether it be a fire related incident, a medical emergency, or a public service assist, locating an address at a moments notice saves time and helps in the long run.
