Wow! Our Fall Harvest party was so awesome! We had about 45 kids attending! These creative kids made some beautiful fall art pieces, choosing to make a wood pumpkin craft or a scarecrow. They enjoyed some yummy snacks and lots of fun with their friends. Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who helped in any way. We have so much fun at the Library!

ATTENTION KIDS - Join us for a FALL HARVEST PARTY at the LIBRARY, Tuesday, October 27, right after school. We will create a special art piece, enjoy some treats and maybe a few tricks, games and a Halloween story. This is a fun time for all kids, age 3 and up. For more information call 806-347-2717.

The Office of Representative Ronnie Jackson (TX-13) will host a Mobile Office at the Motley County Library, Friday, Oct. 16, 10:00-2:00. Constituents are encouraged to attend if they need assistance with a federal agency or to learn more about the office's services. Please bring all documentation if you require assistance with a federal agency case. No appointment is necessary.

I'm a little late with announcing our Summer Reading winners, but I am so proud of these girls and all those that participated in our Reading challenge. Every participant read 20 books to be eligible for the Grand Prizes. Names were drawn by our County Judge and the winners are: Ophira Phipps, division 1; Aubrie Martinez, division 2; and Laurel Kitchens, division 3. Congratulations! You are awesome!

The 2026 Rootin’ Tootin’ Beans and Cornbread lunch fundraiser was a success! Thank you to everyone who attended and enjoyed having lunch with us! Thank you for your donations! Round up your hungry crew and bring ‘em for some good ole’ Beans & Cornbread.

Who's ready for some good old fashioned eatin'? The Motley County Friends of the Library will sponsor their annual Rootin' Tootin' Beans & Cornbread lunch fundraiser on Friday of the Old Settlers, August 28. The delicious meal will be served from 11:30 - 1:30 in the Library Annex. The menu will consists of Beans, Cornbread and all the fixins', Smoked Sausage, Fruit Cobbler, and Iced Tea. Donations will be accepted and very much appreciated. All proceeds will benefit the Library.
