Subject: Community and Justice in the 21st Century Speakers Forum: Bigger Than Black and Blue: Candid Conversations about Race, Equality, And Community Collaboration- Wednesday February 23, 2022- 6:00pm to 8:00pm- Via-Zoom
As discussed, please be advised that we have another Community and Justice in the 21st Century Speakers Forum series coming up on Wednesday February 23, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, via Zoom. You can register to participate in this virtual event by emailing me at [email protected]. As previously communicated, we will be conducting at least one speaker’s forum per month on various topics that may be of interest to you or your team. This month the topic is Bigger Than Black and Blue: Candid Conversations about Race, Equity, and Community Collaboration. Our keynote presenters will be 1): Chief Scott Booth, Chief of Police Danville Police Department, and 2) Mr. Robert T. David, Sr. Youth and Gang Violence Prevention Coordinator for the City of Danville. This topic has significant importance for agencies that are looking for strategies and ideas to increase public cooperation and collaboration within the communities they serve. Please find attached the flyer regarding this event. Please feel free to distribute, forward, share, or post this flyer to ensure your team has the opportunity to attend this forum.
Again, thank you for your participation and continuing support of the educational process here at Averett University. I look forward to working with you in 2022 as we increase educational access, options, and opportunities for your employees and your academy graduates. Please be safe, and be well.
Sincerely;
James F. Hodgson
