The Massapequa Fire Department covers approximately 13 sq miles and 19,000 homes.

Comprised of over 45 members and handling over 400 calls per year, Engine & Hose Company 5 proudly serves the residents of Massapequa Park, Massapequa and East Massapequa.

Happy 99th Birthday to Barney Muldoon!
What an extraordinary life of service. From heroic enlisted service in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II to decades with Engine & Hose Company No. 5 (and the honorary captaincy), Barney has embodied duty, resilience, and quiet leadership. Husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and fire-service senior man; those roles alone speak volumes.
May the day be filled with family, stories, and the deep respect he’s earned. Here’s to many more healthy, joyful years. Fair winds and following seas, Honorary Captain Muldoon, and thank you for your service to both country and community!

Donate blood, join the bone marrow registry, and register as an organ donor. Three simple acts that could save countless lives. Come down to the West End Firehouse on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 between 9am and 3pm located at 515 Hicksville Road, Massapequa, NY 11758 or one of the other four locations seen in the flyer. God bless Firefighter Billy Moon, his wife, children and the legacy.

The Dog Ate Our Homework so we are late with this submission!!!! As the 2025/26 School Year came to a close we were happy to chauffeur our final fire prevention poster winner to Unqua Elementary! Congratulations to COLTON who was escorted by his Mom & Dad aboard Engine 635 back in June. Well earned bud and we can’t wait the 13 years it will take to officially become a member of the Massapequa Fire Department!!!! (Psst..check out a really cool video in our comments).

Huge shoutout to cmfphotography5157 for hanging out with us this weekend and snagging some beautiful pics of our three rigs out on the ramp of our new firehouse. He even got a full send response caught on camera (teaser) that we will post soon! Thanks Christopher Michael; door is always open.
