Recently we have been getting so many requests from area emergency scene photographers to capture Engine 635 in action before she retires. Here is a video compilation put together by BROOKLYN’s own “TOM” of us turning out of quarters to a reported building fire and our brothers and sisters from the West End responding in Tower Ladder 632.

This past Tuesday evening a NYC Based Fire Photography/ Videography group, “New York Rescue Cam” took the LIRR out to Massapequa and captured a few phenomenal images (to be posted at a later date), but was able to snag Engine 635 & 6315 responding to a reported odor of Natural Gas. It’s nice to have some photos and videos of our soon to be retired Engine before she turns her final wheel.

Congratulations to Grady and Anthony! đźš’
We are thrilled to celebrate two outstanding young artists who were honored today for winning this year’s Fire Prevention Poster Contest!
Grady and Anthony enjoyed a special victory ride aboard Engine & Hose Co 5 Engine 6315, chauffeured by our Fire Prevention Chairman, FF Kevin Colfer. The boys arrived at Eastlake and Unqua Elementary Schools respectively, where they were able to share their winning posters and spread important fire safety messages with fellow students.
Your creativity and hard work truly made a difference! Keep up the great work champs! 🔥
A huge thank you to FF Kevin Colfer for making this memorable experience possible, and to everyone who participated in the contest. (Videos in comments)
