The Purposes of the FOMW:

To assist young people to compete in the sport of amateur wrestling by sponsoring tournaments and competitions for wrestlers and clinics for wrestlers and coaches. To assist and facilitate the creation, development and enhancement of youth wrestling programs. To assist and facilitate the dissemination of information about wrestling events and activities to wrestlers, coa

ches, parents and fans. To assist and facilitate the creation of a travel club to allow wrestlers to attend wrestling camps, clinics, competitions and tournaments in other geographic areas. To encourage parents and fans to volunteer their time to assist in the development of youth wrestling programs. To assist and facilitate in the dissemination of information to the general public about the sport of wrestling. To solicit and collect contributions from individuals, groups, business and social organizations, corporations, foundations and governmental entities in order to finance the activities of the corporation. To foster the involvement of alumni and parents in the Massapequa Wrestling program, as well as the formation of a mentoring program. To establish a means of communication and dissemination of information among alumni, teammates, parents and supporters of the wrestling program.

Please see below for information on how to register for the upcoming Massapequa Youth Wrestling clinic. Some of the times changed based on my original message.

Massapequa - hold tight - registration for the youth clinic will be going out shortly.

Clinic will start on November 18th.

Grades K-1 will be held once a week on Mondays from 7-8pm

Grades 2-4 will be held on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 7-8pm

Grades 5-8 will be held on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8:15-9:15pm

All sessions will be held at Massapequa High School in the Wrestling Room. Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended to attend as many sessions as possible, especially if your child is going to participate in tournaments.

The athletes will need to wear a tshirt and shorts and wrestling shoes. No outdoor shoes are allowed on the wrestling mat.

All levels welcome from beginner to experienced.

ATTENTION MASSAPEQUA HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLERS JV/VARSITY!

The coaches are holding a JV/Varsity Wrestling Interest Meeting for the 2024-25 Wrestling season on

Wednesday, September, 18th, 2024 at 2:45PM in the Massapequa Wrestling Room.

This is a mandatory meeting for anyone who plans to wrestle this season.

In addition, off season practice will begin the week of September 23rd, the coaches will let the wrestlers know days and times.

Reach out to the coaching staff if there are any questions.
