September 11, 2026, marks the solemn 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
A quarter of a century later, the promise to "Never Forget" remains a deeply vital pledge, particularly as more than 100 million Americans are now too young to remember the day firsthand. This milestone anniversary brings a heightened focus across the country to honor the 2,977 innocent lives lost, the immense bravery of the first responders, and the families still enduring the lifelong impacts of that tragedy. 🙏🇺🇸🙏

Life long friends, Allen Henschell and Charles Smith, graduates of Woodhaven PS 97 Class of 1956.

Allen and Charles have shared a massive seventy years of history together Their smiles show they haven't lost an ounce of that mischievous spark.

Coming of age in New York during the late 1950s—the era of neighborhood stickball, classic diners, and the birth of rock 'n' roll.

They must have an absolute treasure trove of stories. Seventy years later, and they still look ready to head out and completely paint the town red!!!
