On 6/9/26 at 6:26pm Masontown VFD was dispatched along with Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department and KAMP Ambulance to a single vehicle accident with entrapment. Additional assistance was requested from Terra Alta Community Ambulance, Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, Mon EMS, HealthNet Aeromedical Services, and Mike’s Towing. Also on scene was West Virginia State Police.
Masontown VFD, Reedsville VFD, Kingwood VFD, with the assistance of Mike’s Towing performed extrication of the driver of the vehicle. Extrication took an hour and 4 minutes due to the positioning of the vehicle and heavy impact. EMS Personnel from KAMP, Terra Alta, and Mon EMS provided care to the patient to be transported to HealthNet Aeromedical Services who was awaiting the patient for transport to the trauma center.

We here at Masontown Volunteer Fire Department as well as all Preston County Volunteer Fire Departments are tremendously thankful for you.

We are beyond blessed to have such a supportive County. We can't even begin to express our gratitude for the support we have been shown by the passing of the Fire Levy.

PLEASE VOTE YES

Tomorrow is election day. Tomorrow is the day that the citizens of Preston County vote on whether or not to continue to support their Volunteer Fire Departments.

Preston County Fire Departments are solely Volunteer and depend on funding by our communities and citizens to keep them functioning and available in the time of need.

All of the members donate their time, time away from loved ones to help those in need.

They take time away from home to take multiple training courses so they know how to help when they are needed. Rescue class, Structural Fire Fighting Classes, Pump Operator Courses, the lists goes on and on.

This small fee helps all 12 Departments within Preston County. We have 12 Departments whose members Volunteer to help you the citizens of Preston County in your time of need. These men and woman are there for you on your worst days and do so proudly.
