UTILITY BILLS DUE: 6-15-26
DISCONNECTS: 6-25-26 NO EXCEPTIONS BY 9:00 a.m.

All City offices will be closed June 19 for Juneteenth.
Friday’s trash 6-19-26 will be picked up on Thursday 6-18-26.

City Commission meeting will be June 22, 2026, at the Civic Center starting at 5:30.

CITY OF MASON BEGINS WATER CONSERVATION PLAN:
All even numbered houses can water twice a week either on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between the hours of 7:00 pm and 10:00 am.
All odd numbered houses can water twice a week either on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday between the hours of 7:00 pm and 10:00 am.
You will be allowed to hand water as needed.

Street Closure:

We will finish up after lunch. Closure will continue after lunch from 1:00- 3:00

On May 19, the City will have Smith Street closed from 8:15a.m. to 10:00a.m. to trim limbs out of electrical lines and remove a fallen tree. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The City of Mason, Texas is accepting applications for a Lineman, Apprentice Lineman and/or Groundsman. Duties will include assisting in electrical construction, maintenance & repair; working in all aspects of municipal electrical distribution services; responding to emergencies; setting poles, running overhead & underground utilities. Some electrical lineman experience preferred but not mandatory. Requires a high school diploma/GED. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or ability to obtain one within 6 months is required. Full benefit package. Salary negotiable depending on experience: $20 - $30/hr. $1,000 sign on bonus after successful completion of 6 months. Applications returned to City Hall, 124 Moody St., P.O. Trash pickup: Monday the 25th trash will get picked up on Tuesday May 26th.

Please note that the intersection of Westmoreland and Post Hill will be closed to thur traffic during daylight hours to facilitate the completion of the roof at the sheriff's office. Thank you for your cooperation at this time!

The City and County request that citizens avoid Post Hill Street by the Sheriff's office this week. A new roof installation is scheduled, and due to the street's narrow width, alternative routes are recommended to ensure the construction crew's safety. Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience.

The City of Mason is accepting applications for seasonal lifeguards. Lifeguard certification, First Aid & CPR training is offered at no cost for those that commit to working for the City and certification can normally be obtained in one weekend. Participation in the lifeguard certification course is not a guarantee of employment. Applicants must be age 16 or older, be able to demonstrate leadership, arrive to work on time, and work weekends. Flexible hours required for after hour & weekend pool rentals. Responsibilities will include lifeguarding and daily pool maintenance. Applications may be picked up at the City Office and returned to Donna Langehennig. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by May 15, 2026. Open until filled. City reserves the right to accept lifeguards from past applications. EOE
