Rising Leaders Day 3! ✔️

With a skill topic of conflict management, it was possible these leaders were approaching this class day with caution. Thankfully, there are plenty of people in blount county that were willing to provide problem solving tools and tell stories about how they manage conflict every day. Pausing, hearing people out, and proceeding with clear communication and care is where the magic is.

FIRST OFFICIAL CLASS DAY!
LB ‘27 spent the day focusing on Leadership. They got a tour from classmate Col David Barrett, heard the “Personal side of Leadership” from General Jim Campbell, ate at the base with some LB alumni and then did the four lenses test with Family Readiness Program Manager, Bill Conner.

What a day! Now they are off to go get ready for their New Class Reception! Will you be there?

Great start this morning with Emma and Corie from the TN Department of Health who talked about Health and Wellbeing strategies for TN communities. We got to break up into groups and dig into the End Zone Playbook and initiate the conversations and projects that can lead us to a healthier and happier Tennessee.

The group focused on sharpening our Emotional Intelligence tools to help broaden our perspectives at work. Working with different generations can be tough! But finding common ground and taking a minute to understand each other’s perspectives can really help.

Calling all manufacturers, skilled trades, healthcare providers, educators, business owners, construction leaders, and community partners!

Join us to learn how The End Zone Playbook can help create healthier workplaces, stronger employees, and a more connected Blount County.
From 8:30-10am in the Sharon Lawson room at the Blount County Public Library, we will discover how small changes can make a big difference for your workforce and our community.
