The Nodaway County Health Department is a quasi-governmental organization that values the leadership and dedicated staff who are responsible and responsive to the community and are receptive to new ideas. records, immunizations, WIC, environmental health, community outreach programs and health education. Birth & death certificates are available at the Health Center from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. You must have a photo identification card of some kind, e.g. Driver's license, Work I.D., etc. to obtain the copies. Immunizations are available Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment only. Call (660) 562-2755 for more information or to make an appointment. Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program which provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to their 5th birthday based on nutritional risk and income eligibility. The primary services provided are health screening, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and referrals to health care. Health education opportunities such as blood pressure clinics, wellness classes, and presentations are available to the community upon request.
