United Way of Blount County supports organizations that help Blount County's most vulnerable through programs that create a healthy, well-educated and self-sufficient community. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable and when people have good health. That's why United Way is focused on the building blocks for a better life by supporting programs that help kids succeed, strengthen and support families, promote self-sufficiency, improve people's health, and protect community well-being. Our goal is to create lasting changes in our community by addressing the root causes of Blount County's problems. Together, we can accomplish more than any single group can on its own.

9/25 is being recognized as Dolly day, but it's also Gas Day! In memory of Dolly, we decided to create a special t-shirt for our volunteers. We've seen such a positive response from the shirts, so we decided to open it up to the public for ONE DAY!

Pre-order your "Pumpin' Gas 9/25" t-shirt by tomorrow night - Sept. 10th at 11:59 p.m. T-shirts are $15 and will be available for pickup on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at the UWBC office.

For the first time, United Way of Blount County is hosting a cohort for nonprofit leaders. Through four 90-minute sessions, you will gain the skills you need to confidently lead your organization throughout any season.

It’s not about doing more. It’s not about doing less. It’s about giving you permission and the tools to not burn out.

Two sessions will be facilitated by Sheri Traxler, M.Ed., a podcast host and experienced leadership coach in the nonprofit sector. The other two sessions will be peer-to-peer, allowing you to learn from your colleagues and hold each other accountable.

Cost:
$25 per person
