"Helping & Healing Our Children"

New Hope Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is a child-focused, safe place in Blount County, TN, for physically or sexually abused children and their families where they receive all services needed after abuse occurs. At the CAC, professionals who are a part of the investigation convene to provide a coordinated response to allegations of child abuse. Services such a

s advocacy, forensic interviews, medical exams, and therapy are provided in one place so the child only recounts the details of his or her abuse one time and in a way that is not re-traumatizing. The organization is a not-for-profit agency, providing all services at no cost to the family.

Recently, Ashley had the opportunity to speak with the Kiwanis Club of Alcoa about all the amazing things New Hope has been up to in 2026.

While there, Ashley was also presented with a generous $1,000 check to support our mission. 💙

A huge thank-you to Kiwanis of Alcoa for your continued support. We are SO grateful for a community that believes in this work and shows up for the children and families we serve!

🔆 BE THE LIGHT 🔆

Today we celebrate Shine Day in memory of Clark Reagan. A day to honor his light and the joy he brought to the world! Fireflies remind us that even in darkness, we all have the ability to shine.

At New Hope, we often share with children in therapy that light can still be found, even in difficult times and we each have the power to be that light for others through kindness, love, and small acts of good.

Need ideas to shine today? Try one of these:

💡 Offer encouragement to someone you don’t know
💡Text someone an uplifting message
💡 Drop off flowers to a friend or family member
💡 Smile at someone who needs it
💡 Bake cookies for a neighbor
💡 Volunteer your time with a local nonprofit

Thank you to everyone who is helping us to honor sweet Clarkie this month. 💛 — Miranda Talley Thomas

Happy 4 years, Celina! 🎉

For the past four years, Celina has been a source of compassion, support, and advocacy for the children and families we serve. As a Forensic Interviewer and Advocate, she helps children feel seen, heard, and safe during some of life’s most difficult moments.

A Maryville native and graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Celina brings both professional expertise and a genuine heart for helping others. Her dedication to children and families shines through in every interaction, and we are so grateful for the care and kindness she brings to New Hope each day.

Celina, we are so thankful for your servant heart and the way you are so intentional with every interaction. You are such a gift to our team and community! 💙

Help us celebrate Celina in the comments! 👏

We are overwhelmed by the kindness of our community. ☺️

Just a few days ago, we shared that our juice box supply had run completely dry. Thanks to your incredible generosity, our supply closet is already filled back up!

Every child who walks through our doors receives a juice box, and while it may seem like a small gesture, it helps create a comforting environment during a difficult time.

Thank you to everyone who donated, purchased, delivered, shared our post, and helped spread the word. Your support makes a difference for the children and families we serve every single day.

A special thank you to Sweet Somethings, Victoria Conforti, Danielle Reggio, Theresa Harper, Madison Costner, Tina Meadows, Lisa Grimm, and the incredible teams at Bella and Raven Steakhouse & Lounge. We are grateful for each of you and for a community that continues to show up. 💙

Today, we wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate one of our incredible community partners and sponsors, Clayton.

In April, we had the opportunity to welcome Director of Philanthropy, Susan Brown, for a tour of our facility. Clayton played a significant role in our capital campaign, which is why they are proudly recognized on a branch in our lobby.

Their support doesn’t stop there. Clayton team members volunteered their time to help us prepare for Heroes for Hope, and we are honored to have them return as our Diamond Sponsor for the 24th Annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala.

Thank you, Clayton, for the many ways you go above and beyond to support our mission. Because of partners like you, we can continue restoring hope to children and families who have experienced abuse or trauma in Blount County.

We are grateful for your partnership and your commitment to making a difference in our community. 💙
