A huge thank you to Marysville High School Football for honoring our first responders last night during First Responder Night. It was an incredible evening of community, football, and appreciation for the men and women who serve and protect our community every day.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the countless acts of courage and selflessness shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, dispatchers, military members, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger, helped strangers, and answered the call when they were needed most.

Twenty-five years later, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the unity our nation showed in the days that followed.

May we never forget those we lost, those who served, and those who continue to carry the weight of that day.

👮‍♂️🚶‍♂️ Downtown Foot Patrols Are Back in Marysville!

You may notice some familiar uniforms spending a little more time on foot around Downtown Marysville! 🚔

Our officers are getting out of their patrol cars and hitting the sidewalks—checking in with local businesses, connecting with community members, and keeping a visible presence in the heart of our city.

Foot patrols give our officers the opportunity to slow things down, have conversations, and stay connected with the people who live, work, shop, and visit downtown.

If you see us out and about, don’t hesitate to stop and say hello! 👋💙

🚗🧡 “Wait… what is that orange sticker on my car?!”

Don’t panic! 😅 That orange sticker is a friendly reminder about the City’s 72-hour parking ordinance.

“Okay… so what does that mean?” 🤔
City Municipal Code states that vehicles cannot remain parked on a public street for more than 72 consecutive hours without being moved.
“Is this a parking ticket?” 🎫

Nope! The orange sticker itself is not a parking ticket. It’s a notice letting you know there may be an issue with your vehicle that needs your attention.

“So… am I in trouble?!” 😳

Not necessarily! Check what’s noted on the sticker and what needs to be corrected to see if your vehicle is at risk of being towed. If you take care of the issue within the timeframe provided, you’re all set! 🚙💨

These notices help keep our streets clear, safe, and accessible for everyone.

So if you spot a little orange sticker on your windshield, don’t stress — give it a read and take care of what’s listed! 🧡👮‍♀️

We are incredibly grateful to the SCIP (Sheriff’s Community Improvement Program) for taking the time today to give back to our community by cleaning up trash and graffiti at Riverfront Park, along the river near the day-use parking area.

These acts of service may seem simple, but they make a meaningful difference. When people come together to care for the places we call home, it creates a stronger, cleaner, and more beautiful community for everyone.
