Yuba County Office of Emergency Services

Yuba County Office of Emergency Services Yuba County OES is plugged into every public safety agency in the region. OES operates in four primary areas: Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.

The Yuba County Office of Emergency Services (OES) coordinates all emergency management between public safety and service providers. Plans - For any emergency
Training - Practicing the coordination of services
Facility - The Emergency Operations Center
Mobility - Ensuring uninterrupted emergency services

To help prepare the County and other organizations for emergency response, OES provides plann

ing and training services. During an emergency, the County uses the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) to ensure close coordination between police, fire, military personnel, medical service providers, FEMA, and other organizations that provide services to residents. Plans have been developed to respond to any emergency event, and those plans are constantly being updated to make sure emerging threats are included and new technology incorporated.

๐Ÿ’ช Our levee systems are mighty, but Reclamation District 784 (RD 784) could use your help!

๐ŸŒŸ RD 784 is looking for volunteers to step up during high-water events. Although the district has a dedicated full-time staff, having extra hands can make a difference during an emergency.

Volunteer to support levee patrols and take part in flood-fighting efforts, such as sandbagging! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‰ If you or someone you know may be interested, we encourage you to request a volunteer form by emailing [email protected]

It's been eight years since Loma Rica was rocked by the devastating Cascade Fire, and it both feels like it was just yesterday and ages ago.

Wildfire has always been part of life in the foothills, but it still incites worry and perhaps fear. We know what it means to burn and to rebuild-- a journey more and more Californians now share.

So while we continue to urge residents to be prepared for any emergency, we also pause to remember the lives lost on Oct. 8, 2017 and reflect on the lasting impact that night had on our community.
