Families First of Marshall County

Families First of Marshall County is a nonprofit agency dedicated to the promotion of health and self-sufficiency through education and helping others.

Non-profit 501(c)3 social service agency dedicated to serving the needs of individuals in Marshall County, KS. To be eligible for our services, you must follow the requirements in taking steps to better your life and those in your family, to be considered "ACTIVE" and receive our assistance. Sign up today through a pm to our program, to include the total number in household, the number of adults a

nd the ages of the children. Include your address, tele number, and email. The requirements in becoming eligible include, completing 4 hrs of community service to Families First of Marshall County, or successful completion of a parenting class, budgeting class, fatherhood class, or you can even get in one one of our DIY classes. When completed, you have now taken steps to better the lives of you and/or your family and made yourself an "ACTIVE" participant in Families First of Marshall County. Each year, to remain eligible and "Active", you must complete one of the above options. Your efforts in better yourself and community, make you eligible for that calendar year, for our assistance. Just send a pm and we will get you enrolled!�

Today was our monthly food distribution day.

For everyone who thinks my day starts and ends only while giving out food...looking at the clock, it is 10:02pm and my day is just now coming to an end.

Thanks to everyone who came through our line and made a donation, shared a story, or just thanked us for our service.

Every minute is worth it, when we serve close to 200 families each month❣️

🤗We are asked each month how can people help, when they go through our lines.

A few of our regular attendees donate $5-$20 each month, and we have found it truly makes a difference!

Remember, this is NOT required to get food.

Starting this month, you have the opportunity to give and pass it forward.

When you sign in and get your number, there will be a container in which you can make a donation to Families First of Marshall County.

If every family would consider donating at least $1 each month when they get a carload of food, it would allow our program to continue to purchase more food to distribute.

It is NOT mandatory you give to receive. There is no requirement for this portion of our program, and you will not be turned away for that reason.

As food costs rise, and our food loads are sometimes arriving lighter than anticipated.

When this happens, our program races to the store before the line starts, and purchases more food to hand out, to make sure there is enough for your family to supplement.

Our program operates soley from community donations, so every bit helps, especially when it come to the rising cost of food.

Any amount you give, adds up quickly and will make a huge difference❣️

All fresh and organic lettuce, spinach, sweet peas, onions, chives and cilantro, this go round!

Our Candy Arrangements for Graduation, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Teacher Appreciation, Birthdays, in additon to our Cups, and Pop-Its, are all at the Mother's Day Flea Market at booths #36 & #64!

Beginning tomorrow, Families First of Marshall County will be closed until May 18th.

Between food distributions, raising funds, and all the days spent assisting others, it's time for a bit of a break and to focus on other important facets of life.

My brother will be here visiting from Florida and I want to devote my time and attention to spending quality time with him and time with my daughter❣️

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, step-mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, foster mothers, adoptive mothers, and lastly to those mothers who love their babies, while they wait to join them in Heaven...

"Pony Up" For Families First of Marshall County Tomorrow!

The gifts you make to Families First of Marshall County will have a bigger impact than you know!

All size donations are accepted, and those $25 or more, will be matched .50 on each dollar, until the funds are depleted.

Your generosity will go towards assisting the immediate needs of local families in Marshall County, through medical transportation assistance, food, basic care items, teacher appreciation gifts, school supplies, and so much more!

Please drop off IN-PERSON, as early as possible, to ensure your donation is matched...111 S 8th St. in Marysville, KS at the Helvering Center.

ONLINE is another avenue to make your donation, if you are unable make it in. Log onto www.ponyupmarysville.com, again as early as possible after 12:01am tonight to ensure it is matched!

If you are going to MAIL your donation, please send to Jeff Crist, Attn: Pony Up Marysville Match Day, 1129 Juniper Road, Marysville, Kansas 66508.

All mailed donations must include a donation form which will be available on the top tab of the Pony Up Marysville page, after April 1.

If mailing, please make your check, money order, or cashiers check to MCF, dated May 1st, 2026, with Families First in the memo line and postmarked no later than tomorrow, May 1, 2026, to ensure matching.

On May 1st, Get Ready To "Pony Up" For Families First of Marshall County!

Pony Up Marysville Match Day is May 1st! The gifts you make to Families First of Marshall County that day will have a bigger impact than you know!

There are matching funds to increase each gift made of $25 or more, until the funds are depleted.

Your generosity will go towards assisting the immediate needs of local families in Marshall County, through medical transportation assistance, food, basic care items, teacher appreciation gifts, school supplies, and so much more.

Below are different ways in which you can give to Families First of Marshall County.

1..IN-PERSON at the Helvering Community Center 111 S. 8th Street, Marysville, Friday, May 1st, from 7am-4pm!

2..ONLINE at www.ponyupmarysville.com from 12:01am-11:59 pm on May 1st.

3..Mail your gift to: Jeff Crist, Attn: Pony Up Marysville Match Day, 1129 Juniper Road, Marysville, Kansas 66508.
