I said this often during my campaign: There's no other school district I'd rather send my kids to. I'm looking forward to being a part of this when my term starts in January!

The Michigan School Index System (see https://www.mischooldata.org/school-index/) measures public school performance in seven key areas—student growth, student proficiency, school quality/student success, graduation rate, English Learner progress, assessment participation, and English Learner participation.

Schools receive credit in each area based on the degree to which it meets the state targets and an overall index value ranging from 0-100. The Michigan School Index System is used to identify schools for support.

VOTE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH!

People ask me every day why I am running for School Board. They say it's a thankless job these days. The way I feel is that if I can contribute in any way to the success of future generations then I'm sure going to try. I do not have the patience required to be a teacher, but what I do have is the leadership skills and common sense decision making ability to really make a difference in our schools. I am a graduate of Marysville Schools. I am the only candidate running for School Board that actually has kids currently attending Marysville Schools. Those things matter. We may not agree on every issue that comes up these next four years but I can assure you that I will actively listen and make the decision that I think is best for our kids every single time. I am asking for your support and for one of your four votes for School Board in the election this Tuesday, November 8th. Thank you!

Thank you for the swift response from the Marysville Police Department today and the excellent work by our Marysville Middle School teachers and staff. Events like today's remind us that we must do whatever it takes to ensure our kids are safe every day at school. My #1 priority when I'm elected to the Marysville School Board will be to make sure we have done everything within our power to keep our kids safe at school. We can never look back and wish that we did more.

It's been a busy few weeks campaigning and also doing things to benefit the kids in our community.

*Participated in a Candidate Meet & Greet at Washington Elementary where all teachers and staff were invited to show up and ask questions of the candidates.
*Put out close to 200 signs in yards of supporters. Thank you to everyone that has allowed me to do so, and I still have a few left if anyone else is interested in helping to get the word out!
*Applied for and accepted a grant at halftime of the Varsity football game on behalf of Marysville Little League from the Marysville Community Fund (pic below).
*Organized a free girl's softball camp run by the SC4 coach and her players to help improve the quality of our Little League softball program.
*Put together a free pitching clinic for our boys Little League program to bring extra instruction to our kids.
*Attended many Marysville Youth Soccer and Marysville Junior Football games to cheer on my kids and their teammates.
*Volunteered to work the chain gang for Marysville Junior Football.
*Took a family trip to the apple orchard (pic below).

I'm excited to announce that I've decided to run for a position on the Marysville School Board in the upcoming election. As a parent of two young kids in the District, and a product of Marysville Schools myself, I have a lot of pride and a vested interest in the learning experience our schools provide.

I bring to the table 20 years of experience in planning and financial management from my business career as a Private Client Advisor with JP Morgan. I've also proven my common sense leadership throughout my time volunteering with youth sports - coaching many teams over the last seven years and volunteering on the Marysville Little League Board, most recently serving as President. My kids are everything to me. Through all my time spent volunteering in youth sports these past years I hope you can see that your kids are important to me as well. I want all of our kids to have the best possible opportunity to succeed in life, and I believe that begins with an education from Marysville Public Schools. We have the very best teachers and school staff. While they do all the hard work, I'm eager to do everything I can to help improve their experience and the experience for our kids.

I promise to approach every issue by asking two questions. What is best for our kids? And does it have a positive impact on our teachers? If it passes both of those tests, I will work hard to find a way to make it happen. You may not agree with me on every issue, but you can be assured that I will always do what I think is best for our kids and never be tied to the agenda of any one person or group.

I'm asking for your support over the next few months. I'd love for you to share this message with your family and friends. Please like and follow this page for future updates. Also, if you are willing to put a sign in your yard to show your support, please send me a pm with your address. Thank you!
