Do you know the difference between demand and usage? Knowing the difference can help you save on your electric bill.
💡 Demand is how much electricity a member needs at a specific moment.
💡 Usage is how much electricity a member uses over a period of time.

It is with great pleasure that URE congratulates Cody Lindsey and Dalton Rowland on their recent graduation from the Central Ohio Lineworker Training (C**T) program. Cody and Dalton have moved from apprentice to official linemen status, with over 8,000 on-the-job hours over the course of five years of courses.
Offered by Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, URE’s statewide trade association, and supported by the electric cooperatives of Ohio, C**T trains power lineworkers at the beginning of their careers as well as seasoned lineworkers seeking to refresh and advance their knowledge. Courses are taught in the classroom and in the field, with the best real-world technology in a safe, controlled environment. C**T has a reputation for the highest standards in safety and excellence, qualifying hundreds of pole climbers since 2004.
Please join us in congratulating Cody and Dalton on their recent graduation.

Q: What’s better than a fresh-from-the-oven, homemade sourdough loaf with a crisp crust and airy crumb?
A: Two of them.
If you’re already preheating your oven, you’re spending the same energy whether you bake one loaf or two. Double your dough and bake two loaves at once to make the most of your oven’s heat. Your future self will thank you!
What are your best sourdough tips? Share them below. ⬇️

URE lineworkers are built with strength. They don’t run away from disaster—they run toward it. Working hot days and cold nights, nothing says “strong willed” like a lineworker. Be sure to this Lineworker Appreciation Month.

Electricity isn't just about power; it's about possibilities. It fuels innovation, supports education, and enables communication. At URE, we believe in its impact on advancing our world and connecting our communities. Powering possibility – that's the value of electricity.

We’re piloting a new renewable energy source: Pet Power™. Tests show an excited dog chasing a tennis ball can power a blender for five seconds. Cats are ... less cooperative.
Happy April Fools’ Day! Don’t worry, your power still comes from the grid—not the pup up the street.
