MARYNEAL VFD WORKED THE RATTLESNAKE GRAVEL GRIND RACE TODAY ! WE SUPPLIED THE BICYCLE RIDERS WITH WATER, PROTEIN BARS, BANANAS, PNUT BUTTER CRACKERS AND RIDES BACK TO THE LAKE SWEETWATER PARK.
IT WAS HOT , HOT !! AROUND 100 DEGREES.
THANK YOU TO KYLE HALE, BRIAN MOSS, SARAH MOSS , JERRY MUNCY, LINDY AND SHELDON CLABORN, LAURA AND REX LEATH! WE HAD SOME GOOD HELP !

Maryneal VFD responded to an electrical pole on fire at 3pm ! We were on scene for fire watch until they got all the power off and they got the pole down and disposed of !
Crew returned to the station about midnight

On Monday, January 12, 2026, the Nolan County Commissioner’s Court reinstated a countywide burn ban.

Please be aware: under Texas Local Government Code §352.081, knowingly or intentionally violating a burn ban is a Class C misdemeanor.
