Earlier this summer, Weinberg program officer Kelly Miyamura hosted three grantees from Hawai'i at the The Aspen Institute's annual Opportunity Youth Forum (Aspen Forum for Community Solutions), a national network of more than 40 collaborations in urban, rural, and tribal communities across the U.S. seeking to achieve better outcomes in education, employment, and well-being for opportunity youth. Our grantees served on panels and as session leaders, sharing their work with the broader network. From a youth leader participant: “Being around other young leaders, hearing their stories, and sharing our efforts was inspiring and motivating. I have come home with a greater sense of urgency and motivation to continue and dive deeper into this work.” Thanks to our partners , Partners In Development Foundation, and Ma Ka Hana Ka 'Ike for joining us!
