In observance of Juneteenth, the City Municipal building and administrative offices, along with constitutional offices, will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Employees in essential operational positions (Police, Fire, EMS, water/sewer plant operations) will continue on their normal schedule.

Regular trash pickup will continue as normal. There will be no bulk or brush pickup.

Normal operations will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026.

National Night Out 2026

Join your local law enforcement friends for an evening of community fun at Southside Park in Martinsville! Thank you to our co-hosts, the Martinsville Sheriff's Office, the Henry County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police. National Night Out is FREE admission and is aimed at bringing law enforcement and neighbors together. There will be FREE food, drinks, and giveaways available!

The event will be headlined by a wiffleball tournament among local officers, deputies, and troopers!

There will be vendors on site, community resources, and activities for the whole family. Parking and shuttling from the upper lot will be available to ensure all can make the event. Please come out to meet with your local law enforcement and interact with vehicles and equipment!
