EMS REMEMBRANCE DAY . . . Today, we pause to remember the EMS providers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Their commitment to serving others will never be forgotten. They answered the call—every time—putting the needs of their communities before their own.

We honor their lives, their service, and the legacy they leave behind.

As EMS Week comes to a close, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make this week special for the dedicated crews of Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority.

Throughout the week, our staff was recognized and supported in many meaningful ways. The Office of Berkeley County Emergency Communications delivered goodies and treats to our crews, while our Chiefs served breakfast to both the off-going and on-coming shifts. We were also grateful for the delicious donuts provided by Martins Grocery Store.

We are honored that the Berkeley County Commission recognized EMS Week with an official proclamation, highlighting the important role EMS professionals play in serving our community each and every day.

Our crews also received BCEAA swag as a small token of appreciation for their continued dedication and hard work. In the midst of a busy week, our staff still found time to give back by hosting a Touch-A-Truck Event for the children and families of Berkeley County — an event filled with smiles, learning, and community connection.

Tomorrow, we will wrap up EMS Week with a staff picnic catered by Back Step BBQ as we celebrate the teamwork, commitment, and compassion that define our organization.

Thank you to our crews, community partners, and supporters for helping make EMS Week 2026 a success!

SAVE A LIFE DAY . . . In an emergency, you can make the difference.

Hands-only CPR is simple to learn and can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival.

✔ Call 911
✔ Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
✔ Don’t stop until help arrives

Today is a reminder that saving a life doesn’t require a badge—just the willingness to act.
