Our Mission

The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation Board was established in April 1970 as a chartered governmental organization. It is unique in the State of West Virginia in that it is the only such agency comprised of three foundation agencies the City of Martinsburg, Berkeley County Council and the Berkeley County Board of Education. The mission of the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation Board is to provide a wide range of recreational and leisure opportunities through programs, services, and public facilities for all residents of the City of Martinsburg and Berkeley County for all ages and to work cooperatively with state, county, and city governments and organizations to promote recreation and open space development.
