Berkeley Arts Council The Berkeley Arts Council promotes communication, collaboration, and opportunities for the arts community in Berkeley County, West Virginia.

The Berkeley Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) non‐profit organization incorporated in West Virginia working to ensure that Berkeley County has a vibrant, vital arts environment by promoting awareness, understanding and appreciation of the literary, visual and performing arts in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. The Berkeley Art Works, a project of the Berkeley Arts Council, is the realization of

the long-held dream of the arts community in Martinsburg and Berkeley County West Virginia: to have a community-based arts facility that supports local and regional artists, brings quality arts experiences for the members of the public, and provides a wide range of arts learning experiences for local residents, artists, and artisans. 👻 Calling all artists of the spooky, gothic, medieval, dark, strange, and quirky!

Berkeley Arts Council is now accepting artwork for **Things That Go Bump in the Art**, our special Halloween-themed member exhibit at Berkeley Art Works. 🎨🕸️

🖤 Exhibit: October 1-31
🎃 Artwork drop-off: September 24-27
📍 Berkeley Art Works, 116 N. Queen Street, Martinsburg, WV
🖼️ Maximum size: 24" x 24" - smaller works preferred
✨ Glow-in-the-dark art is especially encouraged!

Then join us on **Halloween night, October 31 from 8-10 PM**, for our reception and costume party featuring spooky music, food, drinks, raffles, costumes, art, and voting for the **“Best Loved”** piece!

We’re also accepting donated items for the evening’s raffle through October 29.

🎨 The juror’s selections are in!

We’re excited to announce the artists and artworks selected for the 14th Annual Eastern West Virginia Juried Exhibit.

This year, 27 artists submitted 61 pieces, with 32 works selected for the exhibition. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their work with us!

Congratulations to all of the selected artists - we can’t wait to see these pieces in the gallery. 🖼️

There’s still time to enter the 14th Annual Eastern West Virginia Juried Exhibition at Berkeley Art Works!

Artists age 18 and older who live in Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan, or Pendleton County are invited to submit original two- or three-dimensional artwork in any medium or technique.

✨ Open theme
🖼️ Abstract, representational, and non-representational work welcome
🏆 Best in Show, Merit Award, and Honorable Mention awards
👩‍🎨 Juror: Sonya Evanisko, Professor of Art and Coordinator of the Painting and Drawing Program at Shepherd University

📅 ENTRY DEADLINE: Monday, August 31 at midnight

The exhibition will be on display September 24 through November 15, 2026, at Berkeley Art Works in downtown Martinsburg.
