Yesterday, Company 60 units, in conjunction with our mutual aid partners, responded to a reported dwelling fire in the Arcadia Springs North area. Upon arrival, Company 80 units found an end-of-the-row town home with heavy fire and immediately went to work. Fortunately, all occupants evacuated the premises safely. We extend our gratitude to our mutual aid partners, including VAFD Co. 80, South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company, City of Martinsburg Fire Department, Bedington Volunteer Fire Department, Shepherdstown Fire Department, 167th Airlift Wing - West Virginia Air National Guard Fire Department, “C” shift of Berkeley Fire, and the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority. Additionally, we remind the public to exercise caution around fire scenes, particularly avoiding driving over hose lines, which are crucial to our firefighting operations.
