Parents as Teachers: Morgan County We are a FREE home visitation program that serves ANY family prenatally through kindergarten. We focu Parents as Teachers is a evidence based program.

Our mission is to provide the information, support, and encouragement that parents need to help their children develop optimally during the critical early years of life. We offer personalized home visits twice a month to fit the individual needs of your family. Our visit consist of a parent-child activity that stimulates development in various areas, and the latest research based information about

child development and family well-being topics to help you make the best parenting choices you can. We are here to empower, help, and support you as a parent and your family! We also connect you and your family to the resources your family needs. The program provides screenings for early detection of possible delays and health issues that can effect a child's ability to grow and develop to their full potential. The parent educator brings an age appropriate children's book to every visit to help build your family's own library. Parents as Teachers also offers group activities for the families every month. They consist of fun activities, door prizes, and snacks. It is an opportunity for children and parents to socialize and create fun lasting memories with your children. There are no income requirements and we are a completely FREE program. We serve families prenatally through kindergarten. It is funded through the Maternal,Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Grant. Enroll today!

Parents as Teachers hopes you will join us at our upcoming event at War Memorial Park, 9/8 from 10 am to 12 pm. This Play Group will be special in that we will have detailed information and screenings available for your child's development based on their age (birth through 5 1/2 years). Our activities, crafts, and snacks will all have a purpose to help identify and track particular milestones that your child has developed. Each family will receive special handouts and booklets to help understand their child's development better. You won't want to miss it! As always, the event is FREE!

Older children are always welcome to attend! During this particular event however we are only able to do screenings/milestone check-ins for children ages birth through 5 1/2. Older children can still join us for story time, snacks, etc. however our program is unable to screen older children
