On the last day of school, students with perfect and faithful attendance were invited to our first annual Attendance Arcade, with a separate celebration for each grade level. The arcade celebrated the achievement of students that intentionally put effort into being with us all school year, and on time, including 11 students with perfect attendance for the entire school year! Students played games, enjoyed ice cream, and left with a promo card for a food or drink item in our community. Certificates of their accomplishments were also given. Special shoutout to the Eastern WV Community Foundation for the Teacher Mini Grant, Martinsburg Chick-Fil-A for your consistent support of our attendance efforts, the NMS Attendance Committee for your hard work to decrease chronic absenteeism, to our students that helped run the event, and obviously to our students that earned the event. We already have ideas and goals for next year and are looking forward to it! Enjoy your summer!
