Meet Ellen, a Meals on Wheels client and lifelong musician who has made a remarkable impact in the Bay Area arts community. Ellen receives Meals on Wheels through our service provider partner Meals on Wheels West Contra Costa, due to health-related challenges that have made it difficult for her to leave her home.
For Ellen, the meals provide more than nutritious food—they also provide an important connection to the outside world. She shared that spending so much time at home can feel “lonely and boring,” making the friendly interaction that comes with a meal delivery especially meaningful.
Because of the generosity of our donors, we help ensure meals are available for seniors like Ellen—providing nourishment, connection, and a reminder that someone cares. ❤️
