There are no words in existence to accurately describe the low-life piece of trash it takes to do something like this. These heroes shine a light for us each and every day, and for something like this to happen to their memorial is heartbreaking. Rest assured, all law enforcement agencies within the county are working to identify the perpetrator of this cowardly act, and they will be brought to justice.

Please contact Prestonsburg/Floyd County 911 at 886-1010 if you have any information or message us here. Your name will not be released, but will be held in high esteem for helping us right this terrible wrong. Remember these heroes, their families, and all First Responders, as this is an attack on all of us.

Signed,
Christian Stidham
Chief of Police

Everyone come out and join us a great day of fun. The Parade will start at 2:00, and will travel down Main Street from Ice Plant Hollow to KY-122. KY-1428-Main Street, will be closed down completely to all Non-Emergency traffic from 1:45 until the end of the parade. After the parade we will be back at the Festival Grounds from 3:00-11:00. All rides are free, and concerts are free, but we encourage you to bring a chair as there is limited seating for the concerts. At 9:30 tonight, Pyro Shows will start the fireworks show from the middle of the large field on Main Street. You may park and watch in the field on the right side of the Main Street and Ice Plant Hollow intersection. Emergency personnel will be on scene to assist with this. KY-1428-Main Street will also be closed down to all non emergency personnel during the fireworks show. We hope everyone has a great time at the festival.

🚨UPDATE🚨

The owner of the truck and trailer has reached out to the owner of the car and is arranging to have the car fixed. Although he was not driving when this accident occurred, he is making things right, and we commend him for that.

We also want to give a huge thank you to everyone that shared this post. We could not have done it without you.

‼️⚠️🚨WE SWEAR THIS IS IT🚨‼️⚠️ 🆘🆘SHARE THE SNOT OUTTA THIS🆘🆘

WE KNOW we changed the date once because of conflicts, and we vetted that date with everyone involved. Long story short, the majority of the PHS baseball team also plays Football, and Sunday is the Media Day for all fall sports. So, PHS was rendered basically auto forfeit.

We have verified the new date with US STRATCOM, the young veterinarians club, the Canadian Scuba Diver’s Association and anyone else who may come up with a conflict.

⏱️⏱️SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 6:00⏱️⏱️

LISTEN GUYS. IT IS SET IN STONE AND HAS N O T H I N G to do with our team needing more practice or that we will have some more very capable players able to attend……

It’s worth it. We promise. If you want a sneak peak, we’re having a scrimmage against ourselves Sunday night.

There will be plenty of ambulances there…

BE THERE!!! 23rd!!!

⚠️⚠️⚠️EDITED FOR ANOTHER CHANGE DUE TO FALL SPORTS MEDIA DAY⚠️⚠️⚠️

🚨🚨DATE CHANGE!!!🚨🚨

DUE TO AN UNREALIZED CONFLICT the greatest softball game you’ll ever see has been pushed back one day, from this Saturday the 2nd to Saturday the 23rd - STILL AT
6 PM.

Saturday is the last show of Billy Jean Osborne’s Kentucky Opry - and we don’t want you to have to choose! Both will be very entertaining…a different kind of entertainment, but nonetheless entertaining. We originally moved the game to Sunday, but we learned that Sunday is media day for all fall sports, and all but three of the PHS baseball players also play Football. So that came about after we moved it. So here we are.

These guys and gals have been stretching and pulling muscles like they’re about to chase Pablo Escobar up Left Beaver and stock shares in Icy Hot have skyrocketed. We’re a 125 batting average one round and a 350 the next. What’re ya gonna get? Who knows. But once one of us gets four home runs, every one after that is an out. And we’re selling mulligans…is that a softball thing? Oh well.

C’ya then!
