🚨 Structure Fire 🚨

On Friday, June 5, at 6:05 p.m., the City of Martin Fire/EMS Department received a report of a possible structure fire at 520 North College Street. All three stations responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, Engine 2 found a large shed heavily involved with smoke and flames. Mutual aid was requested from the Dresden Fire Department, Sharon Fire Department, and Union City Fire Department for additional manpower.

Fire personnel remained on scene for approximately one hour and thirty minutes. No injuries were reported.

🚨Honoring Firefighter Jerry Damron🚨

Yesterday, members of the City of Martin Fire/EMS attended the Kiwanis luncheon to honor Firefighter Jerry Damron, who was selected as the Kiwanis Club's Firefighter of the Year.

Jerry has been a dedicated member of City of Martin Fire/EMS for nearly two years and currently serves on A-Shift. As a result of this recognition, he will now be submitted for consideration as the LaMissTenn District Firefighter of the Year.

Past LaMissTenn District Firefighter of the Year recipients from City of Martin Fire/EMS include: Chief Jamie Summers, Captain Josh Wilson, and Captain Kory Green

Please join us in congratulating Jerry on this well-deserved accomplishment and wishing him the best as he advances to the district-level recognition process.
