Marthasville Community Ambulance District was established as a district on January 1st, 1975.

We serve the southern portion of Warren County, which includes Marthasville, Dutzow, Treloar and surrounding areas.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK TODAY

The Storm Prediction Center is indicating an Enhanced Risk of severe weather development today, especially this afternoon and into the evening hours, for Warren and many of our neighboring counties.

Damaging winds 💨 approaching and possibly exceeding 70 miles per hour, large (⛳️🏌🏻golf ball size) hail, and a few tornadoes 🌪️ are all possible.

✅ Know where your severe shelter area is - just in case.
✅ Pay attention to your surroundings and to local weather conditions.
✅ Have more than one way to receive emergency information.
✅ Make sure the systems or devices you use to receive emergency information are working properly.

Our part-time Paramedics work flexible schedules, experiencing challenging and diverse clinical presentations in a supportive team environment. We are the business end of 911 - the critical element that provides the exceptional level of care our community expects, deserves, and counts on. We use Zoll monitors and ventilators, and Sapphire pumps. Starting medic pay is $20.00.

Thank you, Director Kluesner!

This past Wednesday evening, the Board of Directors of the Marthasville Community Ambulance District formally recognized and honored Director (now former Director) Alice Kluesner upon her retirement after 27 years of service to this District and, more importantly, to the communities we serve.

“Institutional knowledge.” It’s a relatively recent catchphrase meaning, among other things, the experiences and lessons learned during one’s tenure or course of employment. 27 years represents a LOT of institutional knowledge.

Alice always represented her constituents, and the entire community, professionally and with their wellbeing as a top priority. She has been the epitome of “public servant,” and her guidance and direction will be greatly missed.

Memorial Day: The “unofficial start of Summer.” Cook-outs, families getting together, lots of options for outdoor activities, appliance sales (I don’t get that one either). Yet there’s much more to it.

I grew up on military bases in the 1960s and 1970s, and that meant Vietnam. Lots of dads gone, more leaving, to us it was normal. I know how that sounds, but that was our environment - our community - it was what we knew. Every once in a while a staff car would drive slowly down the street, and that was something else we knew: we knew someone’s dad was hurt, or worse. You knew you didn’t want that car to stop at your house, or at your friend’s house, but you knew it was eventually going to pull up somewhere. That family would be forever changed.

Lots of families have been forever changed in this manner. Some were changed long ago, and have hopefully managed to adjust. Some have suffered a more recent loss. The numbers continue to grow.

So, however you observe Memorial Day, please take a minute to remember those who can no longer do so, and to honor their ultimate sacrifice.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK TODAY

The Storm Prediction Center is indicating a slight risk of severe weather development today, especially this afternoon and into the evening hours, for Warren and many of our neighboring counties. Damaging winds 💨 appear to be the primary threat associated with any storms that may develop, with less likely (but still possible) tornado 🌪️ and hail 🫧 threat.

We are also under a Flood Watch 💦🌊 through 7:00 PM.

We urge you to be weather-aware as you go about your day.

We’re the Marthasville Community Ambulance District, responsible for providing Emergency Medical Services throughout roughly 150 square miles of southern Warren County, and we’re actively recruiting Missouri licensed Paramedics. EMTs currently enrolled in a Paramedic program are encouraged to apply as well.

Starting pay for EMTs is $17.50/hour, starting medic pay is $20.00/hour.

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the severe weather risk we face today from Enhanced to Moderate. ALL severe weather elements remain possible, including -

🌪️ Strong (EF-2 or greater) tornadoes,
⚾️ Very large hail, up to baseball size;
💨 Damaging winds approaching or exceeding 70 miles per hour.

KNOW where your severe weather shelter area is (regardless of where you are), PAY ATTENTION to local weather conditions, be prepared to SEEK SHELTER (even without an official warning), have MORE THAN ONE WAY to receive emergency information, and MAKE SURE the systems or devices you use to do that are working properly.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK TONIGHT and TOMORROW

The Storm Prediction Center is indicating an Enhanced Risk of severe weather development tomorrow (Monday, 04/27/2026) for Warren and many of our neighboring counties. The most likely impact time for us tomorrow - not guaranteed, just most likely - is between roughly 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

ALL severe weather elements are possible, including . . .

🌪️ Strong (EF-2 or greater) tornadoes,
⚾️ Large hail, up to baseball sized,
💨 Damaging winds approaching or exceeding 70 miles per hour.

An early round of storms expected late tonight and into tomorrow morning has a low potential for hail 🫧 as well as localized flooding 🌊.

Do not allow yourself to be surprised by any approach or development of severe weather.

✅ Pay attention to your surroundings and to local weather conditions; be prepared to seek shelter if you feel it’s necessary, even in the absence of an official warning.
✅ Know where your severe weather shelter area is (at home, work, school, on the road, etc.).
✅ Have more than one way to receive emergency information.
✅ Make sure the systems or devices you use to receive emergency information are working properly.

We’re the Marthasville Community Ambulance District, responsible for providing Emergency Medical Services to roughly 150 square miles of rural southern Warren County, and we are seeking Missouri-licensed Paramedics for part-time employment.

✅ Starting pay is $20.00/hour.
✅ Zoll monitors and vents.
✅ Saphire pumps.

Missouri-licensed EMT’s currently enrolled in Paramedic training are also encouraged to apply; starting EMT wage is $17.50/hour.

SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE

The Storm Prediction Center continues to show a slight risk of severe weather development late tonight and into the early morning hours for Warren and many of our neighboring counties.

The most likely (not guaranteed, just most likely) time for impact and peak storm activity for us appears to be in the 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM time frame.

Damaging winds are expected to be the primary threat with this system, but a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.

It’s not hard to figure out where the front is presently - identified by the red line on the SPC’s Mesoscale Analysis diagram. The other image is the current mesoscale discussion page for that product.

There are steps you can take now to help prevent being surprised by any development or approach of severe weather: know where you can take shelter, pay attention to local conditions, have more than one way to receive emergency information, and make sure the system or device you use to receive that information is working properly.

Be prepared to act.
