The Marsing Rural Fire District is issuing an immediate burn ban on open burning. This ban will remain in effect until the excessive heat warning issued by the national weather service expires. Extreme temperatures and low humidity have dried out vegetation, creating light, flashy fuels that are conducive to rapid fire spread but also increases the risk of heat injury to members of the public attempting to burn and to firefighters working to put out the fires. This ban does not apply to recreational or cooking fires in established fire pits or fireplaces. Please keep the area around fire pits and fireplaces free of combustible materials.
